President's Associates

The President's AssociatesEstablished by a group of leading Kern County citizens in 1970, The President’s Associates is the most prestigious and longstanding giving society at California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB). Each year, this esteemed group supports excellence at CSUB. In recent years, funds generously contributed by the members of The President’s Associates have recognized excellent faculty and provided $2,000 awards to top-ranking CSUB students to participate in the Student Research Scholars Program, giving them the opportunity to execute in-depth research projects and participate in rigorous oral competitions.

In addition, you will receive recognition in any President’s Associates materials, reservations for two at the recognition event and invitations to presidential events throughout the year. Members at the President’s Counselors level and above will also be invited to attend a private engagement with the President and receive the President’s Monthly Campus Update via email.

The donor(s) understand(s) that 95 percent of all donations will directly support the intended purpose with the remaining five percent deducted as a one-time administration fee to defray the cost of fundraising activities and development services for the University.
